Every woman entering puberty will have menstruation or period for the first time. Each year, the age where a woman get their first period is getting younger and younger. This is has to do with lifestyle, modern diet and in some cases environment.

Metrorrhagia
Some woman bleeds outside their menstruation period, this is called metrorrhagia. Although the situation looks similar, most of the times this is not caused by your normal menstruation period. This is usually caused by hormone imbalance, endometriosis, uterine fibroids or in extreme cases cervical or uterine cancer.
Meno-metrorrhagia
In few cases some women have both of these problems. They bleeds a lot outside their normal period. This is called meno-metrorrhagia and it usually a sign of something wrong with your internal organs. Woman having this condition is advised to seek out medical helps immediately..
Irregular period can be caused by many factors. Some of them are hormone imbalance, endocrine deficiency, and in few extreme cases Corpus luteum cysts.
Corpus luteum cysts is an ovarian cyst caused by the pilling up of dead eggs. When the eggs is released from the follicles but are prevented from inseminating the uterus, the eggs will normally break down and disappear. In few cases, the corpora lutea my fill with blood preventing the eggs to break down and slowly form a cyst. Woman who are trying to have a baby and use a certain fertility drugs are usually at risk because fertility drugs multiplied the eggs production increasing the formation rate of the cyst.
To minimize menstruation irregularity you can start by properly arranging your eating pattern. You need to consume plenty of vegetables and fruit, drink a lot of water (at least 2 litre per day), avoid fatty food, processed food that has MSG or artificial colour or flavour as well as carbonated or alcohol drinks.
