- REM is called ‘rapid eye movement’ and is when our eyes move under our eye lids and is our deepest form of sleep

- We can take a nap with our eyes open
- The term ‘good night, sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite’ comes from Shakespearean times when mattresses were made of straw and were secured on bed frames by rope
